  1. Does Twilight Compass need internet access to work? I want to use it to figure out sunrise/sunset times and directions in photographing sites in rural Spain. But because of very high data costs when using a U.S. iPhone in Europe, I will have data turned off and thus will not have internet access. I don’t know much about iPhones, but my sense is that if the Twilight Compass app contains it’s only astronomical database and needs only a location and date input, it will work without internet/data access. But if it needs to get its astronomical data by downloading data, it will not work if I have data is turned off. (And do you really hope to have v 1.1 by Sept. 28, when I leave for Spain? It would be simpler to download and install that through my computer and iTunes). Thanks.

  2. Twilight Compass doesn’t need internet access but it needs Location Service, which may use data service to do sort of AGPS calculation. However, iPhone is able to get location without A-GPS and without data service. In fact, my iPhone 3GS which I used to develop and test Twilight Compass doesn’t have a SIM inserted.
